Next day morning we went to our new home in LIVIA

Our new home in LIVIA was really awesome with a nice swimming pool along with an exercise pool and nice water fountains. It was very neat.

The tenants in our new house are Japanese. They decorated our house very neatly and they kept everything very cleanly. They have two cats as their pets. They were really so cute. Pranav and I played with one of the cats whose name is ‘Like’. Our tenants specially brought them from Japan. From here we left for Citibank, my babai’s office. The office is near Singapore Changi Airport. The office is so big and there is a separate room for my babai. Through the window of the room we can see many aeroplanes as it is near the airport.

Office Room

Next I went to the science centre along with my grandpa and grandma.

Science centre singapore will keep our mind racing with 1,000 interactive exhibits depicting the wonder and the beauty of science. Even if we spend a mere 5 minutes on each exhibit , it will still take atleast seven days to see all they have to offer here!

There are 12 exhibition galleries and another 18,000 sqm of outdoor space showcasing the ecogarden, kinetic garden, and the award-winning waterworks.

SULTANS OF SCIENCE
We can travel 1000 years back in time and join the Muslims in their search for knowledge. We can explore the nine exhibition selections filled with interactive displays, large-scale models and exciting games. The nine exhibits are Pioneers of flight, The house of wisdom, Fine technology and invention, Medical discoveries, Mathematics, art and architecture, The world of Islamic astronomy, Water-raising machines and The foundation of optical science.

In the science centre we can learn many things about lasers, sounds, missiles, environment etc. Especially in the field of mathematics we can learn many things. There is a Pascal triangle and many things.

There is a special room for mathematics field.
The walls of the room were covered with the pie value. It starts with 3.1415926 and continues all along the walls of the room. Can anyone say what is the 4,235th decimal of pie???

Without maths there is no world. I think everyone should visit this.

There is a theatre in the science centre. This theatre is known as Omni theatre. The Omni theatre, with a 23 metre wide screen, is the Asia’s largest seamless dome screen IMAX theatre. Together with crystal-clear images and crisp surround sound. In this theatre we went to the movie ’Arabia’. That movie was good.

OMNI THEATRE

After watching the movie we were back home. One day grandma and I went to IKEA to buy some soft toys for my friends. We brought some lovely fluffy toys, IKEA is in front of our apartments. Sometimes grandma and I would go for a walk.

Hot springs are better than any hot tub, which provides plenty of benefits by bathing in natural hot springs. Hot springs are usually chemical free which boosts circulation, helps in relaxing sore muscles and of course, hot springs pacify your mind and soul. Check out these seven amazing natural hot springs in the US.

Travertine hot springs:
Travertine is swaddled into the foothills located east of the eastern Sierras, Bridgeport, California. it's about a two-hour drive from Yosemite Valley, home to a glimpse of Matterhorn Peak and mountain cliffs.
When I drove down the dirt road and onto the spot late this summer, I met an array of spring-seeking characters looking to ease their tired bones after a day or ten getting their wilderness on.
The pools are not so deep, the best of which is about a 100-yard walk down a trail lined with ancient juniper trees and porous, pockmarked rock formations. It's a bit hard to imagine the place was formed by nature. Max temperature that can attain is 103 degrees at the hottest point, the pools are lined with mineral-rich clay and filled with a steady stream of ground-fed spring water, which dribbles down a perfectly worn rock vein and over a colorful stone verge that looks like nothing so much as melted rainbow gelato.

Pamukkale:
Pamukkale known as "cotton castle" in Turkish, is a natural site in Denizli in southwestern Turkey. It is situated in Turkey's Inner Aegean region, in the River Menderes valley and has a temperate climate round the year. This is famous for a carbonate mineral left over by the gushing of water.
This area has been drawing the jaded to its thermic springs since the time of Classical relic. The Turkish name refers to the surface of the shimmering, snow-white limestone, shaped over millennia by calcium-rich springs. Gushing down the vast mountainside, mineral-rich waters foam and compile in terraces, spilling over cascades of stalactites into milky pools below. Folklore has it that the formations are solidified cotton that giants left out to dry, this is because the areas principle crop is cotton.
Tourism is and has been a major industry in the Pamukkale for thousands of years, due to the attraction of the thermic pools.

Bagby Hot Springs:
The Bagby Hot Springs are natural thermal springs situated in the Mount Hood National Forest around 68 miles southeast of Portland, Oregon, United States and around 40.5 miles east of Salem, Oregon. The springs are within the avalanche of Mountains in a thickly forested area at an altitude of 2280 ft.  The springs are just outside the bounds of Bull of the Woods Wilderness area.
The site has three major thermal springs, the largest thermic spring gushes 24 gallons of water per minute with 138 degrees Fahrenheit temperature. The two secondary springs produce 16 gallons per minute at 136 °F and 4 gallons per minute at 120 °F.  along with these, there are several minor channels that makeup Bagby Hot Springs. Water from the Bagby springs is rich in mineral content.
Bagby hot springs operate round the clock. both camping and alcohol is prohibited at the site and nudity are allowed at the bath decks, but not in the open areas in and around bathhouses. weekends in summer and holidays are quite busy, so rush early.

Gellért Baths:
The Gellert baths complex includes thermic baths, these are small pools that are filled with water from Gellért hill's mineral hot springs. The temperature of the water is between 35 °C and 40 °C.The thermic baths are adorned beautifully with mosaic tiles.
Gellért Spa is well known for its main hall with gallery and glass roof, built in Art-Nouveau style. The present bath complex and hotel was opened in 1918 and was expanded in 1927 and 1934 with artificial wave pool and with bubble bath.
The complex also includes showers and plunge pools separated by gender. Bathe complex also has an open-air swimming pool which creates artificial waves every 30 minutes and an effervescent swimming pool. There is an outdoor component, too, with a cold-water pool that mimes the sea, complete with a wave machine that dates, rather incredibly, from 1927. You feel like you are standing in the  Massage services are available.
The Gellert Baths were originally isolated for ladies and men. From 2013 January, all the pools were mixed, so at last, people can enjoy every section together, although it still has the two different parts.
This Bathe complex is located in Budapest, Hungary.

Puritama Hot Springs:
Puritama Hot Springs is an array of eight large pools of geothermal spring water situated at the bottom of a canyon in the Atacama Desert, in the Antofagasta Region in the north of Chile. Chile's the Atacama Desert is the driest non-polar place in the world. The springs gird by fresh reeds and grasses, full of blue-green water— the brawl with the world around them. The territory is a study in extremes: Punishing rocky moonscapes host jaw-dropping architecture, and stringent hiking trips pair with the hot-stone masseuse. But the eight pools of geothermal water are worth the trek.
The Puritama Hot Springs was known for centuries and used for medicinal purposes by the local Atacama people, The sodium sulfate waters are said to have medicinal properties perfect for soaking away your stress, physical fatigue, and other ailments.

Dunton Hot Springs:
Dunton Hot Springs, also known as Dunton, Colorado, is a tiny flock of log buildings that sits at 8,600 feet on the West Fork of the Dolores River in the San Juan Mountains in the Southwest corner of Colorado. Dunton is 35 miles above Cortez, Colorado, and 25 miles southwest of Telluride.
Dunton does have an indoor spring, and it's awesome. but the best part is to wake up early and heading to the outdoor springs, where steam is rising off the water. you can see some picturesque places with nobody around. You immerse yourself in the water and listen to the birds chirping. It's an amazing, humbling experience.

Takaragawa Onsen:
It is located in minakani, Japan. The traditional Japanese architecture with 80 years of history as well as an open-air bath situated along a mountain stream harmonize with the natural surroundings to produce a beautiful ryokan.  There are four types of hot spring. The large open-air bath facing a mountain stream has the absolute best healing properties. The water is good for neuralgia, stress release, poor circulation, etc. The food you get is nearby mountain vegetables, wild boar, bears, and river fish. It'd work, for sure, as an overnight stop on a whirlwind bucket-list tour of Japan.

Reykjadalur:
If you have ever dreamed to swim in a hot spring in the middle of the mountains, then this is the perfect place for you. Located just 25 miles away from Reykjavik in South Iceland, you can get here on your own by driving a car, if not you can select group tours. it hardly takes 45 minutes to get over there. It’s on the way to other popular stops like the golden circle or other main attractions in the south. This is an amazing place for day hike too. Reykjadalur means “steam valley” in Icelandic, and this place definitely holds up to its name.
Mountains in front of you, ocean behind you, streams on the side… just imagine the beauty of the place, it's really awesome.  This scenery continues until you come upon a winding river heated, through the miracle of nature, to the precise temperature of a perfect bath. simply pick an unpeopled spot, disrobe in broad daylight, leave your clothes on the riverbank, and slip in.

With lush, green interiors, exotic beaches, enticing islands within minutes and a growing infrastructure, Krabi provides a great vacation full of beautiful memories. Moreover, there’s so much to see: Wildlife sanctuaries, National Parks, hot springs and ice-cold waterfalls are all close by, while one of the world’s most lovely isle's - Koh Phi Phi - is only 45 minutes away.

Railay Beaches & Caves

Now on every savvy traveler's list, Railay is nevertheless one of Thailand's most sought-after beach areas. Located just south of Ao Nang Beach, around a rocky headland and accessible only by yacht or long tail boat, Railay presents a peaceful world. In just one small peninsula you will find beautiful white sand beaches,  viewpoints, soaring limestone cliffs, caves and a lagoon hidden inside the cliffs, shaped and nourished by the changing tides.

How to get there: Fixed-price long-tail boats leave from Krabi (150 baht) and Ao Nang (100 baht)

Krabi Islands (four island tour)

Just 8 kilometers from Ao Nang, Koh Poda, is a small island covered in palm and casuarina trees and almost entirely encircled by a soft white-sand beach, with a coral reef 20 meters from the shore. The combination of scenery, excellent snorkeling, and soft sand make the island a popular choice, but by surprise, it is not that crowded. Chicken Island is named after its strange rock formation that looks like the head and neck of a chicken. One end of the island consists of cliffs, while the other has beautiful beaches. Good for snorkeling.

Emerald Pond

Also known as Crystal Lagoon (‘Sra Morakot’ in Thai) Emerald Pond is situated in the area of Khao Pra-Bang Khram, east of Klong Thom hot springs, about 50 km south-east of Krabi Town. You can visit the Crystal Lagoon and the Thung Teao waterfall on the same day – keep your National Park entry ticket stubs, so you do not have to pay twice. The Emerald Pond is a popular (and somewhat crowded) destination on Thai national holidays.

How to get there: 50 km south-east of Krabi Town on Route # 4 by taxi or song teow

Wat Tham Sua (Tiger Cave)

Wat Tham Sua or “Tiger Cave” is one of the most famous caves in the area, and is part of a temple where monks live and worship within a maze of natural caves. Inside one of the caves is what appears to be tiger paw prints embedded in the stone. The main attraction, however, is the 1,272 step-climb to see the “footprint of the Buddha.” It is not that easy climb, but you will be rewarded at the top with 360° views of the countryside and sea.
Location: Nine kilometers south of Krabi Town

How to get there: Song Teow or taxi

Phi Phi Islands

The Phi Phi Islands have been immortalized by Hollywood to the extent that their charismatic beauty is further enhanced. Day-trippers will pass by emerald-green Maya Bay and the Viking Cave on uninhabited Phi Phi Leh. Phi Phi Don is a hive of activity during the day and takes a short break after the last of the ferries depart before exploding into party central later at night. Still, Phi Phi is the King of Cool and is always laid-back and comfortable with its quasi-hippy image, yet does feature some up-market restaurants and hotels. How to get there: Ferries run from both Phuket and Krabi on a 90-minute crossing.

Klong Thom Hot Springs

These Hot Springs are located in the jungle near the Khao Phra Bang Khram Nature Reserve.  These thermal springs are originated from Ancient volcanic chambers which are believed to ease some ailments such as sciatica, rheumatism, and other skin problems, although these medical claims have no scientific ground.

How to get there: 50 km south-east of Krabi Town on Route # 4 by taxi or song teow

Khao Kanab Nam

Khao Kanab Nam is the two steep limestone hills that many people regard as the symbol of the bailiwick. Located just outside Krabi Town and easily spotted from the road, it is such a fantastic sight to see these pinnacles standing almost side by side with the Krabi River flowing in between them. Each is about 100 meters high. The hill on the righthand side is worth a visit as there is a cave with stalactites and stalagmites.

How to get there: Long-tail boat from Krabi Pier (300 baht)

Koh Lanta & Nearby Islands

Koh Lanta consists of 52 islands including the largest, Koh Lanta Yai. It is located approximately 70km from Krabi Town. Koh Lanta's scenic beauty may not quite compete with some other areas in the province. If you are looking for complete peace away from tourist areas, with a few home comforts, head for the Isle of Koh Lanta. Crucial Low development and unspoiled nature are Lanta's main attractions.

With tree-lined roads, rugged limestone rock formations, beautiful sandy beaches and exotic islands, Krabi Province is a traveler’s dream destination. The 165km coastline is a veritable trove of natural delights, and even Krabi Town itself has a quirky charisma to it. Koh Phi Phi and Ao Nang stand out as significant nightlife attractions, while Railay Beach is a must-visit place.

Krabi Town

Krabi, a modest-sized town of about 25,000 inhabitants, is one of the oldest settlements in Thailand, with roots going back hundreds of years to when it was a ‘kraal’ containing primarily elephants. Of course, the only residues of this rich history are natural sites such as Tiger Cave, but the town itself retains a distinct, almost timeless rural charm. The Krabi River, running through the city, also adds to the allure of a riverside market,  restaurants, guesthouses and atmospheric cafés. For shopping, Krabi city does not particularly shine, but it does have fresh markets, new textile shops and several large stores on its outskirts. An early evening relaxing ramble through its streets will reveal its laid-back and unpretentious personality.

Ao Nang

Beachside, bustling and directly aimed at the visitant market, Ao Nang is changing monthly. By road, Ao Nang is 15 minutes from Klong Muang Beach and Krabi Town, and a minute drive from Noppharat Thara Beach. Via sea, Railay’s beaches (including Ton Sai) and a mishmash of small intimate islands are a few minutes away. Ao Nang has a decent nightlife and quite a few reputable diners, and it is possible to stroll from one end of town to the other. Several clusters of bars provide different ambience, with the newly renovated Center Point on Beach Road at the town’s nightlife nexus. Shopping is a relaxed affair here, with elegant boutiques lining the road out to Noppharat Thara Beach.

Railay Beach

One of the most renowned beaches in Thailand, Railay’s distinct craggy and stunning appearance is etched on many a visitors’ memory. The characteristic limestone cliffs that form the boundaries of the beach are superb for rock climbing, and the area plays host to numerous climbing schools. In just one little peninsula, you will find gorgeous white-sand beaches, soaring limestone cliffs, caves, viewpoints and a lagoon hidden inside the cliffs, shaped and nourished by the changing tides. Moreover, all within walking distance as it is only accessible from the sea, the area has a mysterious lure that is only heightened come sunset. Railay is not a shopping hub, and the only vehicles you will come across are bicycles and hotel golf buggies.

Koh Phi Phi

Iconic, unique and a bucolic party hub, Koh Phi Phi is a love-it-or-hate-it sort of place. Irrefutable beauty belies the fact that the site turns into party central at night, with groups of inebriated (and usually young) visitants on noisy pub crawls. By day, however, its beaches are symbolic, with nodding palms providing shade, by cerulean waters and talcum-white sand. The isle’s many day visitors tend to lend the illusion that the place is busier than it is and at night, away from the nightlife sites, Phi Phi is a place where you could be enticed to spend the rest of your days. A significant scuba diving departure point, and featuring excellent restaurants and exciting shopping, Phi Phi is undoubtedly a noteworthy holiday experience.

Nopparat Thara Beach

Nopparat Thara Beach is located 17km west of Krabi Town and is abutting to Ao Nang. This quiet beach lies within the Hat Noppharat Thara-Koh Phi Phi National Park and features a three-kilometer long sandy stretch lined by casuarina trees. Like most of Krabi’s beaches, you will not find miles of beach chairs and deck umbrellas, so buy a beach mat and find the perfect spot. It is also possible at low tide to walk from the beach across to Koh Kao Pak Klong Island in the bay. It is popular with local Thai picnickers and those who like to swim, eat and laze in the sun. The northern end has excellent seafood restaurants, while the southern extreme, bordering Ao Nang, has some nightlife.

Klong Muang and Tubkaak Beaches

Klong Muang Beach is situated 13km north of Ao Nang and is, to say the least, a serene hideaway. Its natural rustic beauty marries well with the serenity of the area, and for a slice of ‘real’ Thailand, it is hard to beat. Shopping, devouring, and nightlife here are all decidedly modest, but that is the very charm of the place. Tubkaak Beach, a 15-minute drive from Ao Nang and 30km from Krabi Town, is even more remote and enjoys the soft white sand and a sense of peacefulness that is hard to imagine without actually experiencing it. The isle's that make up the fantastic Koh Hong archipelago can be seen from the beach. You can get a closer look at a day trip around the islands. There is no nightlife or shopping at Tubkaak Beach.

Climate

Krabi has a tropical monsoon climate and, situated close to the equator; it is both hot and muggy in equal measure and doesn't cool significantly at night.
April and May are the steamiest months (averages around 26-35° C). The Southwest monsoons show up between May and October, and with the pouring rain and thunderstorms - for many, though, this is a welcome respite.

Perfect time to visit: December to January, for a more relaxed and drier climate
(avg. 22-30° C).

Krabi Province is located along southern Thailand’s Andaman seaboard and receives thousands of visitants every year, who come for its greenery, beaches, and beauty.
Krabi features idyllic palm-fringed beaches, sparkling waters dotted with exotic islands, elephant trekking, prolific rock climbing, excellent dive sites, a wide range of accommodation, both Thai and western dining and friendly locals. Regarding a travel destination in Thailand, Krabi is relatively new, and this works to its advantage. Few of the visitors know that the iconic Phi Phi Islands are within Krabi Province’s jurisdiction. Hardly needing an introduction, Phi Phi offers not only breathtaking beauty, but hedonistic nightlife, and excellent scuba diving and snorkeling as well.

TIME ZONE

GMT+7 (the same as Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam).

ELECTRICITY

Voltage is 220 Volts with either two flat blades (NEMA 1-15 or JIS C 8303) or round two-pin plugs (Europlug CEE 7/16).

SIM CARDS AND DIALING PREFIXES

Pre-paid SIM cards can be purchased at most convenience stores as well as at the service operators’ shops – DTAC, AIS and TRUE – found inside shopping malls. You will discover 7-Elevens everywhere. To make a call to a landline within Krabi province, dial 075 followed by six digit number. Making a call outside Krabi province requires a three-digit area code (except for Bangkok 02), starting with 0, the area code, then
the six-digit number. Calls between mobile phones need a three-digit prefix (08x), followed by the seven-digit mobile number.

GETTING AROUND

Driving in Krabi bailiwick is a whole lot more relaxed than in Bangkok or Phuket. The roads are quite serene, and no one seems to be in hustle. There’s a fixed-price policy between Railey Beach and Ao Nang when taking a long-tail boat, although you will have to bargain for other nautical destinations. If arriving or leaving by sea, it is important to note that specific services cease in the monsoon season from May to October. If you want to experience getting around Thai-style then try a local songtaew – a converted pickup van; you can rent these for a day. Both saloon taxis and motorcycle ply these roads.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

You will find a taxi rank at Krabi Airport, but don’t expect the cabbie to turn his meter on – you shall need to bargain for the best price. Once on the main road, you can flag a passing songtaew down, but this is impractical if you have much baggage. If you want a hassle-free airport transference, you can book a variety of vehicles at http://www.krabitravel.com/destination/transfer-services.htm and travel in style.

What is better than dawdling in a swimming pool in a tropical paradise like Phuket? A calmer, cleaner and safer substitute to taking a dip in the sea, you can swim a length or two if you’re feeling energetic, if you’re feeling thirsty take a seat at a swim-up bar or just float around in the water if you want to relax and cool off from an intense sunbathing session. Children in the family will always have fun playing in the pool, and the deeper ones are also magnificent training grounds if you are learning to scuba dive. Pools are very popular, though, and a small busy pool can severely hamper your style. Make sure that you always have space to extend your water wings and relish yourself in peace and comfort, so we have drawn up a list of the 7 Biggest Hotel Pools in Phuket.

Le Meridian Phuket Beach resort

Despite looking like one jumbo pool, Le Méridien Phuket Beach Resort has two, each with a distinct atmosphere to it. The bigger of the two forms a lagoon around the breakfast buffet restaurant. It is 90m wide and 60m long,  and very deep in parts, so it is not that bizarre to see trainee divers exploring the area under the restaurant. Not far away is a shallower free-form pool which, with its two Jacuzzi sections, is ideal for parents and children. Large pool seamlessly blends into the 26.5m lap pool, which is also pretty deep. Don’t worry about safety, though – the lifeguards on staff are all trained to the Australian gold standard.

Angsana Laguna Phuket

If you are planning to swim the whole length of the Angsana Laguna Phuket swimming pool, you need to cancel any plans you had for the afternoon first. At 323m across, it could take you a while! The only reason it does not rate higher on our list of the 5 Biggest Hotel Pools in Phuket is that its freeform design consists of three large bodies of water with coupling channels, mirroring the lagoon the hotel is situated amongst. There is even a slight current in places, allowing you to drift from one pool to the next effortlessly. Other features include water polo nets, an artificial beach, shallower areas for the kids and a couple of poolside dining options.

Phuket Mariott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach

Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa is located on the southern outskirts of the city, close to Tri Trang Beach stretched over a total area of 3,880 sqm, but that number is divided into three broad individual pools, each over a square kilometre in size. Each has a small atoll of tiny garden islands. One is primarily for the minors and is universally shallow, featuring a water fountain and a slide. The second pool has a swim-up bar. The third has a three-storey waterfall, pool access suites and sun loungers on the islands, which can be reached using footbridges.

Thavorn Beach Village Resort & Spa Phuket

The lagoon pool of Thavorn Beach Village & Spa stretched over  4,900 sqm. It is not just big for Phuket, it is amongst the most significant freeform pools in all of Southeast Asia.  Well deserving the comparison to a laguna, the giant body of water compliments the resort’s natural surroundings. There are also some arcane corners to explore, with cascading waterfalls, bridges, beautiful tropical gardens and Thai sculptures to find. The pool area is fully supervised, it has facilities for water polo, shallower areas for kids, sunbeds and pool access suites.

Duangjitt Resort, Phuket

There are three pools at the Duangjit Resort & Spa in Patong. Of the three, first two are not especially impressive. The third pool, however, is so big that it has an isle in the middle. Over 100m long and about 60m broad at its widest point, it has a poolside bar which also delivers snacks and is ringed with sun loungers and umbrellas. It is not just set in the hotel’s 36 acres of lovingly landscaped gardens – the large isle is an integral part of it, playing host to a natural garden.

Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort

Outrigger is decidedly a family destination, and the excellent and inventive organized children’s activities here rotate on a weekly basis. Children will enjoy themselves in the three swimming pools, one of which features one of the longest water slides on the isle and families can revel in the absolute beachside location. Still, Outrigger is also no slouch when it comes to meetings and conventions and has the most modern and futuristic business center and facilities in Phuket.

Holiday Inn Resort

The first thing you will notice about Holiday Inn Phuket is the how many beautifully maintained pools there are: two substantial communal pools are found at either end of the resort, with a private free-form pool exclusively for the Busakorn-type room guests and a secluded children’s paddling pool. Of the two communal pools one is designed for adults, the other for families. There are elephant sculptures and fountains dotted around pumping jets of water into the air and plenty of sunbeds for all guests.
